Rye

This isn’t the best photo we have of Rye! But it shows what a great momma she’s is. She is with her babies in the field with all the sheep but after she eats she moves away from the group keeping her lambs safe and protected. They are two days old here. The first day she kept them isolated from all the sheep. She licked, nosed and made quiet sounds to them all day so that they would know that she is their momma. It’s a peaceful thing to watch. It makes us stop working for a bit. I

t slows our breathing and all the worries of the day fall away.
